Walk for Life

It’s a privilege for Christ’s Church to partner locally with our friends at CareNet. One of the ways you can get involved is to participate in a Walk for Life. There are two dates set aside–Saturday May 5th in Manchester’s Veterans Memorial Park and Saturday May 12th in Nashua’s Greely Park. Both walks will begin at 10:30AM with registration at 9:30AM.

Resurrection Celebration 2012

At Christ’s Church, you may have heard, we take celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ seriously! As you make your Easter weekend plans for next year, you must join us. Our plans for this year were so big we couldn’t contain them in one service–it took three!

First, we enjoyed an authentic Passover Seder on Friday night, complete with a traditional meal. Thank you Charlie, Jackie, Shari and Steph for all the preparations and work you put it. Dayenu! Thanks Jesse for leading us in song… in Hebrew! And thanks to the hundred or so folks who made the night rich by your participation.

On Saturday we observed a prayer time called a Tefilat Tal–or prayer for dew. Those who participated were tremendously blessed. We’ll be doing this again, for sure.

Then of course there was Sunday morning. It was another ‘every seat in the building’ affair that recalled the story of Christ’s resurrection over the ages. Thank you to the World Famous Christ’s Church Worship Band for blessing us with songs spanning the Second Century to today!

It should be no surprise to Christ’s Church folks: the moment we said ‘Amen!’ plans were underway for next year’s celebration.

Night of Worship

What a night! The Souhegan Valley Night of Worship was a tremendous blessing to all 300+ who gathered at the Amato Center on Friday night March 30th. Hosted by the Souhegan Valley Pastor’s Association and supported by the members of eight local congregations, this event was one to remember–the local church coming together to praise and worship our God!

More than $1900 was collected to bless the Souhegan Boys and Girls Club summer camp scholarship program. This money will be used to help some local children participate in the summer program who might not otherwise have been able to attend. Canned goods were gathered for SHARE as well. Thank you to all who gave so generously.

Christ’s Church’s own Jesse, Daniel and Kathy took leadership rolls in the music team. A good number of CCA folks were in attendance. We’re blessed to have been a part of this evening.
