A Different Feel

As usual, I hear the compliments when it is others who deserve the credit. Thank you Jesse and the music team, Kevin and Germaine too, for your willingness to change things up a bit this morning. Thanks also to the Christ's Church family for your flexibility. I spoke to a couple of folks who visited this morning, suffice to say it was different than they expected! How about you? I'm interested in your thoughts on the worship services today. Add a comment.

    Yup, now that's a service!

Wait! Aren't we a body? Do we get up the same every morning? Do we do the same thing at work every day? Do we learn the same lessons the same way every time?

That's what I have loved about my short time with y'all here at CCA. You are not afraid to do whatever it has taken to communicate that which God has laid on your hearts.

This morning we needed to be brought before God in all His might and majesty and scary awesome mystery. A meditation was called for and you were brave enough to break up the service and give us a meditation, lead us before God to simply ponder HIM.

Thank you. He is a great and awesome God and you in everything you did, in the quiet deliberative way you structured the service, you gave us a chance to feel HIM, to hear HIM. To BOW.

Thank you Jesse, thank you Pastor Darrin. My heart is lifted close to Our Mighty God because you used your giftedness to bring lead our straggling band into His presence.

I have never felt as much a part of an adoring throng as I did this morning, and oddly enough, *I* am the one who walked away... transformed by God's presence.

When you stand on the side of an alpine meadow, with Mt Rainier towering over you and the increasing green of the Pacific coastal forest sweeping below you, as I did last Sunday, you feel you have entered the presence of God. In a very real way, you took me back there this morning, with my knee dipped deeper, and my heart beating more closely to His heart... I can almost not stop writing the moment was so clear and pure and holy.

  • Excellent service! I loved so many things....where to begin? Christ's Church is so different from what I experienced growing up! Thank you for inviting me to join you every week. The Worship Band is phenomenal!
