For Our Weekend Readers

In preparing your heart for worship together this weekend, give the Apostle's Creed a review. Pay particular attention to the line 'I believe in the holy catholic church'. What does that mean?

We're continuing our study of ecclesiology - the study of the church - and this week we will look at the fact that the church is indeed catholic in its organization (noting it is ONE in its nature, HOLY in character, CATHOLIC in organization, and APOSTOLIC in its mission, using those four words from the Nicene Creed as our outline). This weekend we will be looking through 1 Peter 2:4-12, so you may want to give that a read. You might also give Matthew 16:13-20 a look.

Kathy and the music team have a great set of songs ready to lead us into the Lord's presence and to celebrate His goodness to His church, including a little Chris Tomlin, Aaron Shust and a few more standards.

Whether I see you this evening at 5:30pm or tomorrow morning at 10am, I look forward to worshipping the Lord with you!
