What's In Your Player?

I'm spending time at the moment with Chris Tomlin's 'See The Morning' CD.

Track #5, 'Glory In The Highest' is lifting my heart and soul. Something about the simple proclamation of God - who He is and what He's done - leading into the choruses of 'Glory' and Chris singing the descant at the end of 'Glory, Glory Hallelujah!' just overwhelms me.

What's in your player? What song is feeding your heart and soul at the moment?

  • me too!!! i actually blogged about that cd a little while back. i've had it in my car for the 5 1/2 hour drive back and since then it's still been in there. We sang "Made to Worship" in chapel friday and we also sing "How can I keep from singing" and "Amazing Grace- my chains are gone" it's an AMAZING C.D. and has been such a blessing to me. It impacts me no matter what kind of day I am having, because no matter what this life brings, I can still say how can I keep from singing your praise God.

I love singing these following lyrics really loud in my car, and harmonizing along with the last 2 lines because that has been the hope that has been getting me through each day. Saints who have gone before, who have understood the trials of life, who stayed strong and who are now reaping eternal blessings, and someday I'm going to be with my God singing right along with them. :-) That makes this heart of mine swell with hope, and when life feels like too much I try to remember the greatness of God, and how I just need to do my best, and give it my all. As one of my favorite professors said once in a conference, "Pay Day Someday." I've come to the conclusion that seeing my God's face is more than enough for me. If you haven't heard the C.D. it's a must listen.

"I can sing in the troubled times
    Sing when I win
I can sing when I lose my step
    And I fall down again

I can sing 'cause You pick me up
    Sing 'cause You're there
I can sing 'cause You hear me, Lord
When I call to You in prayer

I can sing with my last breath
    Sing for I know
That I'll sing with the angels
And the saints around the throne"

  • I keep going between Jeremy Camp's "Stay" and David Crowder's "Can You Hear Us?"... there are a few others that get mixed up in there, but for the past couple weeks it's been those 2...

    Love ~G

  • The playlist in my car always seems to be picked by the kids. But so far I would say their picks are usually right on! Lately the new Tomlin is their fav pick and I can't argue with them on that one. Also, Emma is addicted to the Namibia '05 CD. So that is always in rotation.

Jackie, think I may have to pick up that Passion CD. Looks like it could make the steady rotation.
