G.O. 2007: Florida

Are you looking for a summer outreach opportunity? How about traveling to Florida to help our friends at Covenant Community Church, and more than a dozen other congregations in Deland, share the love of Christ with their community?

Plans are in place for the week of Saturday July 21st thru Saturday July 28th. The church in the community of Deland will be attempting to visit every home in the community, to deliver a free gift and an invitation to a family block-party at week's end. At that block party there will be free food, music and fun for the whole family. The idea is simply for the church to come together and bless the community with a great day for families.

Covenant has asked us to consider sending them a band to play the event and as many bodies as we can to help them in the visitation in the community. Those visits will be in the evenings in small groups. The cost of the trip is still being determined depending on what mode of transportation we go with to get us there - but it will be very inexpensive.
