| The
Global Outreach Ministry of Christ's Church G.O.
is an area of exciting opportunity at Christ's Church. Since 2001, when we redefined
'missions' to 'partnering' as a congregation, we've been involved in more than
simply sending money to support ministries and missionaries, both across our community
and around the world. We've taken to going! Members
of our congregation (and folks from outside CCA who have desired to G.O.) have
gone to partner with local ministries such as Straight Ahead, Care Net, The Upper
Room and Community Food Bank, Project Angel Tree and other ministries in our area.
We've also sent teams and individuals to come alongside our partners around the
world, including trips to Bosnia, Ethiopia, Mexico and Namibia. Nearly 200 have
participated in our annual trips to the country of Namibia, several having made
repeat visits over the last few years. The
aim of our G.O. teams is always relational. We don't go to accomplish - we go
to be. Together with our partners, both locally and globally, we are embodying
our Lord's Great Commandment and Great Commission. Are you ready to G.O.?
