How do we face Christmas when our hearts are full of longing?
Some of our desires are simple—quiet moments, meaningful gifts, time with people we love. Others run deeper: the longing for peace, for purpose, for restored relationships, for assurance that life is headed somewhere good.
Every December, these longings rise to the surface.
And Christmas speaks right into them.
Throughout Advent this year, we’re exploring the deep longings of people who lived the Christmas story—Israel longing for a future, Zechariah and Elizabeth longing for a child, Mary longing for worthiness, shepherds longing to be seen. Their stories remind us of our own. And they point us to the same truth:
The world still revolves around a moment that started in a manger. And that hope still lives.
On Christmas Eve, we celebrate the moment when that hope stepped into our world—a Savior born “for all people,” bringing good news of great joy. Our candlelight services are a beautiful, family-friendly experience designed to help you pause, breathe, and rediscover the hope that transforms a longing world.

And don’t forget to experience LightFest, our musical Christmas light show! Vote for the Christmas Eve building color by December 22nd. If you want something special to do with your family on Christmas day, we’ll be featuring a special Christmas program set to music and lights at 58 Merrimack Rd.
