We are for New Hampshire, and we want to do everything we can to help people get through these challenging times. It turns out that even in the age of social distancing, there are all sorts of things we can do to support people in need. Be a part of a movement to make a difference and bless your neighbors in response to COVID-19.
DONATE LOCALLY
Catholic Medical Center is asking people to make masks and headbands for heroes. Patterns and donation info are provided through the link.
We are keeping close tabs on other local organizations like SHARE in Milford and Single Parents in Need. We’ll update you when any needs come our way.
BE A PART OF THE TEAM
Christ’s Church is assembling a group of people to meet the needs of the church and the community as they become available. Are you available for grocery or pharmacy pickups? Do you have some talent or skill that might be helpful in this time? Are you qualified to give medical advice or counsel people who might be struggling? As needs become known, we’ll be pairing individuals with people on our team to help them through these difficult times.
SHOP LOCAL
Small businesses are being hit hard during COVID-19. Many have found ways to stay operational within the government’s guidelines, but they are still facing major challenges in the days ahead. Do you eat out on occasion? Maybe you’ll consider takeout. Do you have a gift to buy? Maybe you’ll consider buying online from a local store. We’ll be featuring several local businesses in the coming days as a way to support and celebrate the people behind them.
CELEBRATE PEOPLE
Celebrating people is one of the things we love to do most at Christ’s Church. And there are all sorts of ways to bring some encouragement to those serving in this new reality. Signs of kindness are a great way to cheer people on who are working in higher risk environments or others who might be sick. And if you know of someone in one of those categories, we’d love to know so we can celebrate them also.
Your kids can get in on the action too! Have your children draw something for medical workers, send the drawings to 58 Merrimack Rd, Amherst, NH 03031, and we’ll pass them along.
REACH OUT
Finally, if you know someone who needs assistance, we’d love to know. It’s not easy to ask for help even when we need it. But a little nudge can make a big difference.
