FULL Job Descriptions

LightFest is Christ’s Church’s marquee community event. The two weekends before Christmas we invite our neighbors to watch a brand new light show and we serve them by offering hot chocolate or cider. We need lots of people to pull this off. We’re looking for help to register, park cars and serve and prepare drinks. We have a spot for you at LightFest. Click the links below for complete job descriptions.

Parking Team (Check In): This role involves registering guests with a tablet and giving instructions as they enter the parking lot. It’s best for adults although some teenagers might be suited for this role as well.

Parking Team (Placement): This role involves directing traffic both into spots as they enter and as they exit. It also involves moving traffic cones and managing vehicles for efficient entry and exit between shows. The role is best suited for adults or mature teenagers.

Drink Team (Preparation): This role involves preparing hot drinks in the kitchen. Because of the safety hazards of working handling hot drinks, it’s best to have adults or mature teenagers fill this role. However, younger children may accompany an adult as an assistant.

Drink Team (Delivery): This role involves serving hot drinks to cars parked in designated roles. Because of the safety hazards of working among parked cars and handling hot drinks, it’s best to have adults or mature teenagers fill this role. However, younger children may accompany an adult as an assistant.

Kids Night is offered one night only on the Monday after the second weekend of LightFest. It’s our opportunity to invite the community inside the building for special treats and activities after a special show designed especially for kids. Most of our jobs are the same as LightFest (except the Cookie Team). But all jobs have special notes for Kids Night in purple. Click the links below for complete job descriptions.

Cookie Team (Engagement): This role involves preparing tables with cookie decorating materials and engaging our guests in fun activities and conversation.
