Pulled Together is a seven-week study exploring what Jesus makes of us when we practice faithfulness to him together. Each week includes a short reading, a Bible study guide, and a Scripture passage designed to help us discover the kind of life Jesus forms among his people.
Week 1: What God Has Made
Before we ask what church gives us, Ephesians 2 asks us to see what God has made: people once far apart, brought near in Christ and built together into his dwelling place. As you read, notice what depends on Christ’s action rather than ours—and what that might mean for how we measure the value of gathering.
Week 2: Self-Giving and Hospitable
Romans 15 takes us inside the cost of belonging: bearing with weakness, surrendering self-protection, and welcoming people we might not naturally choose. As you read, notice how Christ’s welcome becomes the pattern for ours—and how God uses this costly life together to produce hope.
Week 3: Power-Surrendered
1 Peter 5 gives us a strange picture of power in God’s household: real authority and different roles, but no ladder of human importance. As you read, notice how Peter places leaders, followers, the anxious, and the suffering alike under God’s mighty hand—and how trusting him loosens our need to secure rank for ourselves.
