TechWise Family

Feel like your family is always distracted by technology? You’re not alone! Since the onset of the pandemic, millions of people, young and old, are spending more time in front of screens than ever. Juggling work and school online has heightened our awareness of the spiritual, relational and emotional struggles with always-on access to technology. But beyond setting limits for screen time, how do parents and families learn how to truly connect, not just survive the new digital normal? That’s…

Good Works

What would it be like for the church to be good for the communities they live in and good also for the growth and wholeness of the people within? Many churches are good at one or the other. Few are good are both. But a small mission in southern Ohio has provided a compelling example of how the two can come together to bring life and be a light.  For over forty years, the community of Good Works, Inc., has…

EggFest 2022!

We had a blast hosting our first ever Drive-Thru EggFest in 2021, but we’re roaring back in 2022.   Our egg hunts are the real deal. No egg scrambles for the big kids. They’ll be hunting for their eggs in the woods the same way their grandparents did when they had to find their dinners growing up. Those who are especially eggs-peditious may find an extra surprise or two. And we’re featuring a whole lot more. Your family won’t want…

Marriage matters. But it doesn’t always feel that way. When your relationship with your spouse is on the edge or it simply feels lifeless, a marriage can feel more like a fixture in your home than something that adds value to your life. Whether your marriage is in trouble, whether you’d like to see new life in your relationships or…

Global Awareness Week 2021

November 14-18, 2021 This year, Global Awareness Week (GAW) will focus on the interconnectedness between local and global communities. In our busy everyday lives, we work and sacrifice for ourselves, our families and our loved ones. We want to provide them with love, with a future and a hope. Similarly, in our extended community, in the family of God near and far, our sisters and brothers also yearn for safety, for peace, for an opportunity to earn a living, to…

This network of volunteer host families help parents who need temporary care for their children as they work through unmanageable or critical circumstances. There is a great need for more foster and respite families, Safe Families volunteers, and supports for local children and families…

Finding Our Way Forward

As we re-enter life after the pandemic, and as the church re-invents itself for the new normal, what kind of people do we want to be, and does the world need us to be? Our culture is increasingly suspicious of, resistant to, and even hostile toward institutional Christianity. What can we learn from the early believers about practicing “the way of Jesus” in a way that opens people’s hearts to the good news of life with God? Check out our…
