Sanctity of Life Sunday 2017

National Sanctity of Human Life Sunday On January 13, 1984, President Ronald Reagan issued a proclamation designating January 22 as the first National Sanctity of Human Life Day (January 22, 1973, was the day the U.S. Supreme Court legalized abortion-on-demand in all 50 states). Churches around the United States use the day to celebrate God’s gift of life, commemorate the many lives lost to abortion, and commit themselves to protecting human life at every stage. Today we must do all we can to dignify life…

Roots Challenge

Embrace the Roots Challenge! God’s deep desire is for each of us to thrive, but we can’t thrive without strong roots and healthy nutrition. The Roots Challenge is a 9-week experience designed to help us grow in both of these areas: refresh your passion for God and become a channel of change to those around you. It’s an invitation to engage with God, your family, friends, community, and the world in new ways. Christ’s Church is encouraging you to embrace…

Christmas 2016 – Home is Here

Snow, and mistletoe, and presents under a tree. Well-behaved children — and adults — gathered around the fire. The perfect gift; the perfect response. Visions of sugar plums, and…wait. Whose Christmas is this?! Each December we log miles on the highway and points on our credit cards hoping to connect people, places, and longings. As we wrap our gifts and watch for snow, we can’t ignore the tension in our world and our relationships. We’re looking harder than ever for home.…

IDOP for the Persecuted Church

Sunday, November 6 is the International Day of Prayer for the persecuted Church. Christians around the world are facing persecution in unprecedented numbers. To get a better understanding of the extreme cases of persecution Christians in other countries are currently facing, take a look at the Open Doors World Watch List. Because we have freedom of religion in the United States, we can freely and openly worship Jesus Christ. Here at Christ’s Church we’ll be participating in the IDOP for the…

10 Days of Prayer

10 Days is an annual opportunity for the Body of Christ in your area to step away from normal routines of daily life and enter into an extended time of experiencing God together through worship, prayer, fasting, and fellowship. It’s a way for all the believers in your city to unite with Jesus at the center. It’s rooted in the 10 Days between the biblical Feasts of Trumpets and the Day of Atonement. 10 Days is intended to be part of the answer to Jesus’ prayer in John 17:21: “Let them…

Worship in the Park 2016 – The Name of Jesus

On August 21st, Christ’s Church joined with believers from over half a dozen other congregations at Keyes Field in Milford, NH to lift up the name of Jesus. A multi-church worship team led us in a time of praise music. We heard testimony about what God is doing as churches partner together to pray and to work together to care for our communities. Pastor Darrell VanWagner of River of Live brought a message from God’s word, challenging us to focus…

Icons: When Culture Whispers God’s Story

Celebrities. Musicians. Athletes. They’re the icons of our day– or at least, of the moment. The media saturates us with their stories: a viral music video, a quick rise to the top of the sports world, or NASDAQ. We see the headlines, and think, “really?” and then before too long we’re thinking, “wow, really.” We start following the stories thinking they’re just a guilty pleasure, but is there more? Woven into the stories, through the noise, and the hype, are…
